Peekaboo and Strawberries

I don’t think I will ever understand what strawberries and valentines have in common – I choose to believe that the connection is some strawberries have a similar shape as a heart…

My friend Fiona introduced me to “peekaboo” cards some time ago – the ones she made were elegant and simple – and one layer cards, which are always a challenge to me… sigh

But I took the challenge to heart (no pun intended) and tried to come up with something simple – even though I could not resist the use of a little ribbon and some Crystal Effects …lol

Simple, to me, for some reason, involves a basic color base card stock, so this time I chose crumb cake…

with the addition of some white gel pen, a punch or two and some marker stamping, my peekaboo became more interesting…

and inside, a different color frame for the strawberry and a little ribbon to get rid of the “plain”…

Cute. I like it.

3 February 2012 2012

Last night I was inspired!! Six new cards, all Valentines.  Some better than others but I like them all… This one was the first one I came up with – the more I use On Board letters with DSP and Crystal Effects, the more I like it! You don’t really get to stamp with this [...]
