I'd wanted to make a 3D flower card for a while, was just waiting for the right opportunity... Mostly, I was inspired by an Origami book I have laying around. I love the color combination and the result of the folding is really rich. This one is going to an older lady whose heart is only smaller than her smile... My 91 year old grandma.
Her favorite colors are blue and brown so I know she will love the combination of Chocolate Chip and Night of Navy... It makes for an elegant card!
I normally make something to give to my son's classmates and teachers at the end of the term - this time I decided to make bookmarks. These are some I have made - there are too many to post, but these are cute. I then got so much into it, ended up making a few as extra birthday tags/bmarks (they all have To/From stamped on the back)...
I will be posting the tutorial on how to make them soon.

Have you noticed that Stampin Up® ink pads are actually up side down to keep the ink on the pad's surface? The Stampin Up® ink pads swivels to the up side down position but the Versamark one does not. Always store the Versamark pad upside down to achieve the same purpose and great quality stamping every time.

Had to wait for pictures to make them a lil gift... He's 6 weeks old now, and giving my sis-in-law the ride of his life... Seems like he has some tummy issues and sleeping is not his preferred way to spend the night... Nevertheless, welcome to this crazy world, Pedro !
Aunty is sending you some stuff from the other side of the world - here's a sneak peek of the brag book I put together for them.
Ah - figured it would be better to keep the bragbook in a matching box... so I am starting with it...

There are many sides to this book, I am showing just a couple. Here they are - Mom, Dad and the older brother. Pedro was in the pouch still when the pic was taken...
I guess I am STILL addicted to this Chocolate Chip / Baja Breeze color scheme... but it's gorgeous, I can't help it!
There are 6 pages in the book - I used the same color scheme in all of them. I also edited the pictures and made them all Black & White - I really like the b&w and the colors of this DSP... And B&W pictures are always more elegant.
Ha - this is the back, not the front... To tell you the truth, I ran out of pictures I could use, and still had one of the sides to make... But I love the solution ~!
I am posting a tutorial on how to make this brag book and the box soon - I will post every and each page in the tutorials page then !!
I like the transparent effect of vellum but it is hard for me to fit its effect in the stuff I make... it may be fair to say I find it does not really fit my style? Most of the cards I see around that use Vellum are not me at all... but I think I finally worked out a card that I am happy with - it is a romantic type of card, but not tacky. The girls really like it.
I had a little bit of trouble with the Eyelet Border punch though - am working on sharpening it tonight!
The butterfly, the ribbon and the rhinestones are on the top. The sparkle of the butterfly adds a nice balance to the transparency effect of the vellum.
