working on it tonight... hmm..
here's my first rendition - maybe I will try a couple more tomorrow, if time is on my side :o)
This theme has a bit of a history behind it: I have a friend who turned 40 last year and made a speech during his party that he was a happy bachelor and would never be "caught" in a hook by a girl... he felt there were too many fish in the sea to be with just "one catch". Exactly 10 months later he tells me he is madly in love, proposed and will be getting married in May in Tahiti. I had been thinking about sending him a card with a pertinent message, and saw this sketch as the perfect opportunity... To my Friend - Best Wishes and a Long Married Life as a The Catch!

I haven't participated in any challenges in a while - so this is my first rendition for this one: I have been in love with the cards that stand by themselves, and love the lines in whisper white that look like panelling...
It's hard to get tired of the Butterfly Print stamp set also - and the Framed with Love frame worked nicely with the You & Moi message.

Okay, this is one silly card... I so LOVE this owl from the new Summer Mini stamp set Animal Stories I am looking for any excuse to use it !! I also always wanted to use the Giggle from the Warm Words stamp set, and this is defintely the occasion !!
Now, this is a sneak peek of the new Summer Mini - as demonstrators, we get the opportunity to get and experiment with the new stampsets, DSPs and everything else so we are ready to show you when it comes out Dec 1st.
This is Makeesha's Color Challenge:

and this is my card...

The Jumbo Very Vanilla Gromet is also from the new Summer Mini... Hee hee.. googly eyes. I just love them!
Clare says: "the last challenge for this evening is an otp challenge.
i am challenging you to rummage through your recycling bin and find something to diy.
Maybe a can into a pencil holder?
a card board tube into napkin rings?
a jar into something to be sued for xmas lollies?
show me what you can do!!
this is what i did : http://craftycowcreations.blogspot.com/2009/11/cyber-challenge-3.html

oh dear!! what a great idea ! got to run and start rummaging. be back baby!!
so, this one is for all Stamping Owls like me. We have fun while people sleep, we do our best creative work while the babies dream and the husbands snore. Cheers to you and me !! (DSP and stamp from the NEW Summer Mini everyone !! wait until tomorrow for MORE on these NEW temptations from Stampin' Up!!)

ps: don't you just love the moving owl eyes ? they are SO cute when they bob around as you move the jar! Thanks so much to Fiona who found them and shared them with me !!
Clare says:
"i like orange. I like it a lot! I like really rust. I like pumpkin pie. I am tempted by tangerine tango but i adore only orange!!!
so with this in mind my colour challenge is black, white and orange. Because i am sooooooo nice i will let you choose what orange you use..but a gold star will be given out to all those brave brave inklings who use only orange lol"
I will get to is and shall return a brave inkling !!
I'm back... pheeewww...
See, because Clare is SO AMAZING with her punch art, I wanted to make something with my punches (not even close to the stuff she makes, take a peek here !!...)
Well, it took me fo-re-ver. I am not good at punch art and had no idea what to do... so there you go, the best I could come up with - but it's for Clare, I am sure she will appreciate I am definitely not a punch art expert!
sorry, this one requires 2 pictures... I hope I get points for using Only Orange !!
there you go... thanks for the inspiration Clare ! It was a challenge, but I had loads of fun !!

what they think…
