easter bunny time!

...and this year, I am a basket case. Literally. I wanted to create a basket with a nice shape - tired of the square ones, with hard edges... So here it is - my very own Easter Basket. I have made about 8 so far, all different... here's some:

green_razz1I used the new Rich Razzleberry ribbon and Cottage Wall paper, together with the Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder on Old Olive paper to create this one..

pink_bunnyA total mix of stamp sets, papers, punches and accessories to create this one...

basket_leavesThe new Autumn Traditions DSP, Soft Suede and Two-Step Bird Punch for this one, together with Pocket Silhouette Stamp set, Circle Brads and Pretties Kit on this cutie...

razz_flowerRich Razzleberry and a very cool new feature: a scene of the Cottage Garden Stampset clear mount, on a H block... together with the new DSP and old flower brads and  rhinestones...

bundle1There are a few more, but those I will post when I get the eggs and fill paper so you can see how absolutely cute they look. I love them. Truly !!

hours and hours…

I am embarrassed to say a very nice lady placed an order for 4 birthday cards months ago and I completely forgot about it!!!  It was a week before Christmas and it completely slipped my mind...

So yesterday I remembered and felt so bad, I contacted her and told her they would be ready today. She wanted specific ones that she had seen at the time, so I decided to make 6 instead - to make up for my bad memory - and a box to store them. Result - went to bed at 4:30 AM!!

These pictures were taken before I went stumbling up the stairs, so they are not the best I have ever taken - but mission accomplished !!
DSC_4551I did not take pictures of the insides, but each has a different Happy Birthday stamped sentiment, from the On Your Birthday set.

DSC_4552The box had to be quite large - I had to use 2 12x12 sheets to get what I wanted, but it matched the set perfectly...

DSC_4550I hope she likes it - and yeah, I need to actually USE my diary, I know, I know!!!!

Makeesha sketch Challenge #19

makeesha-sketch-019working on it tonight... hmm..

here's my first rendition - maybe I will try a couple more tomorrow, if time is on my side :o)
This theme has a bit of a history behind it: I have a friend who turned 40 last year and made a speech during his party that he was a happy bachelor and would never be "caught" in a hook by a girl... he felt there were too many fish in the sea to be with just "one catch". Exactly 10 months later he tells me he is madly in love, proposed and will be getting married in May in Tahiti. I had been thinking about sending him a card with a pertinent message, and saw this sketch as the perfect opportunity... To my Friend - Best Wishes and a Long Married Life as a The Catch!
