I did it. Challenge complete!

These are going to be my next make'n'take class - a Walk in the Park.

I am discovering I enjoy making sets - cards and boxes that go with them, inspired by either a DSP or whatever comes to mind... It's not that I dislike indivdual cards, but sets are fun! You can keep the cards organized neatly and I find they are very handy little gifts to have on hand...

So because Only Ovals has 4 stamps, I made 4 cards, 3 each - so it's 12 cards plus 3 boxes to take home.  The cards are fun - they each have a little embelishment - a brad (sometimes two!) a pearl, a ribbon... We will also use embossing for 2 of the oval stamps, and one of them even has Crystal Effects!  The boxes are medium level, and take exaclty one piece of A4 paper. I even found out a way to make the front box cover sit open nicely - come learn this trick !!

Wth this set we can use a LOT of the gorgeous materials Stampin' Up has to offer.

A challenge for me

I was just browsing, looking around for inspiration on what colors to use for the cards I am donating to the School Auction this year... and came across Walking in the Park from the Mini...

walkinthepark

I had ordered it but did not actually pay a lot of attention to it, focusing on the Christmas stamp sets that arrived in the sae box. But WOW ! I absolutely love the color combo - it's chic and cheerful, fresh and modern.
I also love the fact it's not only In Colors...  basic gray, kiwi kiss, cameo coral, baja breeze and so saffron. Gorgeous stuff!

I have not used all of my Oval All yet either, so here it is - I am challenging myself to create my next make'n'take using Walk in The Park, Oval All and lots of embelishments. I feel like embellishments nowadays... Hmmm... wonder what this means !!!

I am addicted to this color scheme!!

Oh dear! I can't seem to bring myself to choose any other colors now !! And to make matters worse, more ideas are popping into my head using the very same Parisian Breeze ensemble.

Better just giving and play with it to my heart's content (and while supplies last)....

From the almost 20 cards I made using these colors, these are some...

coll09-3how cute is this one ? I love these new cord buttons... Have to come up with more cards with them!!

Cards for a friend – just because…

I have a friend who is absolutely tireless when it comes to helping others, doing things for her children, husband and neighbors - but never for herself. Her health is so frail - and yet, she is most giving than the healthiest ones...

I wanted to give her a couple of cards today to tell her she needs to celebrate herself, because she is a fabulous friend - so last night I came up with this set:

Holiday production – full steam ahead!

Finally able to sit and put together some of the projects I've had in mind for a while...

This year I want to make the traditional red green and white holiday cards - but I also want to work with the blues and creams more... I find these colors very elegant and as Chirstmassy as the bold ones - only a different style... So last night I started on these: the combination of Baja and Choc Chip is stunning ! I had wanted to create something with hardware as well, so this pack of 3 simply happened. :
